Dr. Melanie Levine is a New York State licensed clinical psychologist, specializing in treating those suffering from chronic pain, depression, anxiety disorders, and relationship issues. She utilizes Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), a type of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as relaxation techniques, acceptance and mindfulness, and pain management techniques. She trained and provided therapy at the Albert Ellis Institute in Manhattan for five years before opening her private practice in 2011. Over the last few years she has also received training in nutritional psychology, bringing her knowledge of the relationship between food and depression, anxiety and chronic pain to her practice. Dr. Levine also provides marriage counseling to couples wishing to strengthen their relationships or solve relationship problems.
